A scent you remember.
A first breath of warm cream and dried fig gives way to tobacco, cocoa, and a long, resinous sweetness. These are not the thin, brittle pods of a supermarket jar — each bean is heavy with oil and folds like soft leather.

Where it begins.
Grown on the volcanic slopes of Java and Papua, where mineral-dense soil and equatorial humidity coax an unusually deep flavour from the orchid. We buy directly from the families who tend the vines, pollinating each flower by hand at dawn.

Slow-cured over several weeks — sun by day, wrapped by night — until the pods darken to a glossy, near-black and stay supple enough to knot. Split one and the seed-rich caviar clings to the blade.
